Don’t Miss This Season’s Opening Day at Fenway Park
While generations may have come and gone, Fenway Park has remained very much like it did the day it opened in April 1912.
The ballpark has hosted the World Series no less than ten times with its home team, the Boston Red Sox winning five of those World Series and the Atlanta Braves winning one. The first World Series took place at the ballpark in 1912 with the most recent having been in 2013. Besides baseball, Fenway Park has been the site of several other sporting and cultural events, from hockey and soccer games to professional football, concerts and a range of campaigns.
The ballpark celebrated its centennial in 2012 and that same year it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, it is considered to be one of the most well-known sporting venues in the world.
